About Me
Renowned world media personality Sarachchandra Seneviratne is celebrating more than half a century in the industry.
His career spans 54 years and every major media format — from print and broadcasting to publishing and social media. Landmarks include interviews with celebrated global figures such as United States President Bill Clinton and diplomat Dr. Henry Kissinger, alongside recognition from King Charles III and the late Queen Elizabeth II.
His extensive coverage of the controversial and frequently explosive politics of South Asia underlines both the breadth of his experience and his impact. Through the patronage of the Freedom Forum in Washington, D.C., he has launched a range of influential publications and built links with VIPs at prestigious events such as the AAEC in Chattanooga, USA.
His latest conception — Fun World, a monthly satirical magazine — has launched successfully in Washington, D.C., New York and Hong Kong. A 1999 article in The New York Times spotlighted his contributions and underscored his impact on world journalism.
As an international media consultant with the Freedom Forum, Seneviratne has played a key role in raising journalism standards in many countries around the world — a career that earned him a 2024 Global Recognition Award.
